LEO’S IMPACT-An Autism Awareness Expo
Apr 9, 2026 | 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Bloomington, IL 61701
The Story Behind the Mission
Leo Egbers was a bright, beautiful boy whose family faced the daunting challenges many parents recognize; long waiting lists for assessments, coordinated therapies that didn't talk to one another, and a lack of meaningful support while awaiting an autism diagnosis. In May 2024, just one month before his third birthday, Leo’s life was tragically cut short when he slipped out of his home and drowned in a neighborhood lake. In his honor, Leo's family established Leo's Library Fund at Lifelong Access to ensure other families never have to navigate the unique challenges of developmental delays and autism alone. Leo's Story.
What is LEO’S IMPACT?
Launched as an inaugural event in April 2025, LEO's IMPACT is an annual community-wide gathering designed to provide impactful resources, expert guidance, and an abundance of hope. This event brings together prominent community partners to celebrate the unique strengths of the autism community.
