Our team of feeding therapists works to make mealtime fun and enjoyable for the family. When feeding difficulties develop, mealtime can become frustrating and stressful. Through assessment and development of an individualized plan, therapists work to support children who struggle with episodes of gagging, coughing, or choking, difficulty transitioning to textured food, poor weight gain, refusing foods, difficulty with chewing or swallowing, or spitting up after feedings.
During feeding therapy, therapists work with children to provide them with the skills needed to make mealtimes more enjoyable and nutritious. While each treatment plan is based on the child's skill set and specific goals, common skills taught in feeding therapy include oral skills, food orientation, and general skills that promote a more positive eating experience.Back
Welcome to Lifelong Access.
You may know us as Marcfirst, but we've recently undergone a name change. Why? Because in every phase of life, it’s never a question of if we helped. It’s how we help that truly counts. And how much we helped. Because our clients never outgrow us. And, we never outgrow them. Hence, our new name: Lifelong Access.
