Karl Kopp brings more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience and a deep-rooted passion for serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a career shaped by compassion, innovation, and strategic growth, Karl stepped into the role of CEO at Lifelong Access in June 2025.
Prior to joining Lifelong Access, Karl served as Executive Director of a large, multi-million-dollar nonprofit organization in Racine, Wisconsin, where he led efforts to support more than 3,000 individuals with disabilities. His leadership journey has spanned organizations across Illinois and the Midwest, earning him a reputation for results-driven service and a mission-first mindset.
Karl’s personal and professional values are closely aligned with the mission of Lifelong Access. He is known for building community-centered programs that remove barriers and expand opportunities. His approach to leadership is rooted in empathy, respect, and a firm belief that everyone deserves to be seen and supported.
With strong family ties to the Bloomington-Normal area, where both of his adult children attended college and continue to stay active in the community. Karl feels a deep sense of connection and pride in helping shape the future of inclusive services in Central Illinois. He looks forward to leading Lifelong Access into its next era of innovation, impact, and belonging.
