Dan, a Peoria, Illinois native, has dedicated his career to education, leadership, and community impact. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bradley University, he felt a calling to education and returned to school to obtain his teaching certification. He then began his education journey in Muscatine, Iowa, as a high school teacher, immersing himself in coaching and student organizations. Over time, he stepped into a unique hybrid role, balancing both teaching and administrative responsibilities, which ultimately fueled his desire to pursue full-time leadership in education. During this time, Dan obtained his master’s degree in public administration from Bradley.
A pivotal moment in Dan’s career came when a retired administrator recognized his strengths and connected him to a leadership opportunity at the Children's Home in Peoria. There, he found a perfect intersection of his expertise in public education, special education, and administration. His commitment and vision led to his promotion as superintendent, overseeing two specialized schools for children with autism and behavioral challenges. In 2023, he transitioned to Lifelong Access as a Market Expansion Specialist and, by 2024, moved into the role of Executive Vice President of Operations.
Dan is deeply passionate about empowering families and building stronger communities, particularly in the autism space. His leadership is defined by a calm, steady presence and an adaptable approach; knowing when to support from behind, stand alongside his team, or step forward to lead. Above all, he values mentorship and growth, believing that his true impact lies in leaving people, programs, and communities better than he found them.
